Overview

The excursion site of Xerargaka - Orkonda is located on the road that leads from Astromeritis to Kalopanayiotis and to find it you have to turn to the left, 25 km from Astromeritis just before the area of Orkonda. It is located at an altitude of 600 meters and has a capacity of about 650 excursionists. It is a well-organized excursion site with a special area for lighting a fire, stone fountains with drinking water, tables, toilets, a special area with games for children's entertainment. There are also arrangements for people with disabilities. The site is located among pine trees and wild vegetation, while the beauty of the landscape is complemented by the existence of a small pond with fish. This particular excursion site is particularly well-kept and impressive in every respect. It is an ideal spot for peace and relaxation away from the routine and stress of everyday life.
